Redlands Conservancy – CEEP – Restoring the Native Plants to the Ranch
October 12 @ 9:00 AM - October 13 @ 12:00 PMFree
Two Day Class! September 12 -13, 2019
Join the crew of the Ranch on this two day learning experience making seed balls, planting seedlings both in the Demonstration garden and in the wildlife habitat area. Learn the techniques to retain water, avoid predators, and protect the seedlings from foraging deer, ground squirrels, and mice.
Conducting the class will be Linda Richards, who is a docent for the San Diego Museum of Natural History and has 11 years of California Native plant landscaping. She will be going over tips from what she has learned from her 11 year old – mostly CA native plant garden – favorite plants, tips on getting plants planted/established/watering, grouping like plants, etc.
Note – I don’t have a children’s activity – this is a talk for adults.
Come prepared to weed and get dirty, even muddy. Bring you own tools, if you like. It is advised that you wear long pants, layered shirts, shoes you don’t mind getting messy, and socks in your shoes. Seedlings and seeds will be provided.
