Come along with Caroline McAllister and Bruce Herwig, local photographers, to experience the beauty of nature in the winter. Learn to take full advantage of the iPhone technology and cameras to produce exemplary photos while learning about local history. Bruce and Caroline share a love of our community and a belief in making photography fun! Caroline brings with her a long history of photography at Redlands East Valley High School and many classes throughout the area. Bruce is best known for his Redlands Calendars and Color Me Redlands coloring book. They’ve had many years of teaching others conveying their art and ways anyone can become a great photographer. This will be a playful and informative experience for everyone of every age to get the most out of your iPhone’s! We will walk from the Gateway Ranch and Outdoor Education Center into Herngt Aki’ Preserve exploring the hidden places of beauty and history. Bring your iPhone, cameras and any equipment you need to learn how to use. Make sure all your gadgets are charged!
Make sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, good walking shoes, and layers of clothing. Refreshments will be served at the end of the class. Water will also be available to fill up your water jugs before the hike. Parking is available at the Gateway Ranch, 31313 Live Oak Canyon Road, Redlands CA.
