The Historic Preservation component seeks to preserve the historic, historical, and noteworthy built environments that give Redlands its distinguishing character, and to foster an appreciation and understanding of preservation through community education.
This committee works with City staff and agencies to advocate historic preservation. We manage specific preservation projects, present the Annual Redlands Historic Preservation Fortnight, designate Adaptive Reuse Awards recipients, assist owners of historic buildings with local historic resource designation nominations, present guided tours of Redlands’ past, present and future, and assist property owners in maintaining the cut-stone curbs.
Protecting the buildings, streets and neighborhoods that spell “Redlands” fuels our passion, and keeps Redlands Redlands.
